Biographical Notes:
 Tracy has a 28 year litigation background, with substantial jury trial experience in both state and federal courts. He has tried a wide variety of lawsuits (representing plaintiffs and defendants). He was one of the first attorneys to become certified as a civil trial specialist by The Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education and Specialization. Tracy was also Board Certified as a civil trial specialist by The National Board of Trial Advocacy in 1994, and has maintained his specialist certification for three additional five year terms in 1999, 2004 and 2009. He has been AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell for over twenty years..
In addition to his litigation practice, Tracy is listed as a general civil mediator by the Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission of the Tennessee Supreme Court, and is a Founding Member of the Tennessee Association of Professional Mediators. He has successfully conducted more than 2,000 mediations, and was recently peer review rated as one of the top 150 lawyers in Tennessee in the 2009 edition of Business TN Magazine. Tracy has been similarly elected in multiple editions of the Nashville Business Journal's "Best of the Bar" publications, and also recognized for his work for many years in Best Lawyers in America.
Tracy is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and California, and he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Nashville Bar Association. He is a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation. Tracy earned his law degree from Pepperdine University in 1979, and served as an appellate judicial clerk before joining the firm.
