PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION

Biographical Notes:

Involved with arbitration, first as an advocate, then as a neutral, since the early 1970s, in large construction disputes, as well as contract, securities, domestic relations, employment, real property and tort matters. For the last eight years, has been involved in over 600 mediations as both an advocate and as a neutral. Successfully mediated 29 of 31 cases (18 death cases) arising out of a tragic Nashville nursing home fire, 2004. Arbitrated and mediated large and small cases, many of them extremely high profile, with experience ranging in subject matter, from a failed landfill to multi-million dollar securities, mass tort and contract disputes involving Fortune 100 companies. Organizer and Chairman of the AAA Tennessee Large Complex Case Panel in the early 1990s. Member, Board of Directors of American Arbitration Association, 1990-98.
